Gregg Savard has been bludgeoning the baseball with frightening regularity over the past month, claiming the Sub League 1 Batter of the Month trophy for July. The Henderson left fielder hit .343, blasted 5 home runs and 4 doubles, drove in 25 runs and scored 28 times to win the award.
He is having one heck of a rookie year! Savard has splashed onto the scene with a .309 average, 83 RBI, and 94 runs scored. He has piled up 30 doubles and 15 homers along with 70 walks, 18 stolen bases, and a .412 on base percentage.

Henderson Marlins fans are celebrating Gregg Savard's selection as SL1 Player of the Week. Savard assembled some pretty stout credentials over the past seven days. He coaxed 9 hits out of 22 at bats and jogged down to first 6 times as well. The 25-year-old left fielder brought 9 runners home and hit 2 home runs.
