Just up from the minors, so far this season, the 24-year-old Gourley has won 12 and lost 12, piling up 131 strikeouts and 73 bases on balls in 189.2 innings with a 3.13 ERA. Sklar took full advantage of his plate appearances, putting up an OPS of 1.069 with 5 extra-base hits and 2 free passes.
Sklar has racked up 123 hits, 53 RBI, and 6 homers this year, and his batting average stands at .280. He has walked 32 times and put up a .330 OBP. |  | Tuesday, July 3rd, 2029: Morin Too Tough, Tames Scrappers The King City Scrappers struggled at the plate today against Commanders hurler Michael Morin, who shackled them on 6 hits while hurling a complete game shutout. "What can you say? We just stunk," said the Scrappers skipper in his postgame comments. "But tomorrow will be another day . . . I hope."
Morin finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 3 bases on balls in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," his manager said. "Michael made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
