James Shade had the sweet swing of success this year in the Sub League 1 and captured the Outstanding Hitter Award. Scottsdale Jackrabbits' second baseman stung opposing pitchers for a .305 BA, 124 hits in 482 plate appearances with 47 extra-base hits. He drilled 11 doubles and 31 home runs, drove in 64 runs, scored 94 times, and finished the year with a .415 on base percentage.

 | Tuesday, August 28th, 2029: SL1 Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Announced: Scottsdale's Bill Campbell Takes Prize
Scottsdale's Bill Campbell will be carrying home a new piece of hardware for his trophy case after being tapped for the Outstanding Pitcher Award by baseball writers today. The 21-year-old triggerman fired 155 strikeouts, reeled off 18 wins and snared 155 strikeouts to lend weight to his selection. He also started 50 contests and compiled a WHIP of 1.00.

| Wednesday, August 1st, 2029: Scottsdale Second Baseman Shade Slashes Way to SL1 Batter Of Month Honor
James Shade hasn't always had an easy road of it, but lately he's been clubbing the baseball like a five time All Star. Today, the Scottsdale second baseman was crowned Sub League 1 Batter of the Month for his efforts in July. He batted .337 with 32 hits, 8 HRs, and 18 RBI to win over skeptical voters. He also put up a respectable .442 OBP and scored 21 runs.
In 2029, Shade is hitting .303 with 28 home runs and 61 runs batted in. He also boasts an OBP of .412 with 70 bases on balls and 91 runs scored.
