Not the case for third baseman Alberto Delapaz, who nailed down the Outstanding Hitter Award after putting up a .297 average, rifling 117 hits, and launching 12 into orbit. The slugger for the Chesapeake Rodents also totaled 183 total bases and touched home 63 times over the course of 2029. Wednesday, August 8th, 2029: Rodents Blank Princeton, Sasaki Picks up Victory The Chesapeake manager told reporters after the game, "When he started out, his command was not that good, but he's a tough guy. The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." He was talking about Hyosuke Sasaki, who had just hurled a fine 2-hit shutout over the Princeton Firedogs. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen."
