Jesús Barajas had an impressive outing today. He hurled the Durham Invaders to a shutout victory over the Laredo Centennials, yielding 1 hit, fanning 8, and walking 2. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Laredo skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do, and we hit some balls at guys."

Fulton Barker put on a hitting clinic today. The Durham shortstop sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Buffalo pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
