In his initial season John Ferrill, was a real money pitcher for the Four Corners Daryls. So good that he was christened with the Continental League ROY. Ferrill put up a fine 17-12 won-lost record and amassed 19 quality starts. This Four Corners rookie recorded a 4.64 earned run average in 236.2 innings, fanned 194 hitters, walked 85, and tossed 1 shutout. Ferrill held opposing hitters to a .286 batting average.

The premier first-year player in the Continental League last month was Gilbert Carolina. Four Corners's shortstop put up some big-time numbers in September to haul in the top rookie prize. Carolina hit at a .258 clip with 12 doubles and 1 homers among his 14 extra-base hits. He drove in 8 runs and scored 13 times while playing in 26 games.
Presently hitting at a .243 pace, Carolina has collected 28 two-baggers and 5 triples, rapped 13 out of the ballpark, scored 74 runs, and produced 62 RBI. He has also been walked 57 times and run up 1 thefts on the basepaths this season. In 616 plate appearances over 157 games, he has banged out 134 hits.

 | Friday, September 21st, 2029: Early Fires Shutout in Isotopes Victory
Everything clicked on the hill today for Terrence Early of the Springfield Isotopes as he hurled his club to a shutout win over the Four Corners Daryls, limiting them to 5 base hits while recording 5 strikeouts and yielding 1 free passes. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Daryls manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
To this point in 2029 Early shows a 20-9 record, 34 games, 264.1 innings, 217 strikeouts, and a 2.96 ERA.
