He has assaulted, used, and abused NY Metro League pitchers to the tune of a .366 batting average. This offensive explosion is the prime reason he was honored as the hottest hitter of the month today. Murawski went to the plate 123 times, collecting 41 hits and 9 bases on balls. The right fielder slugged at a .634 clip and tagged 8 home runs in the month. Murawski also added 4 doubles to his sensational offensive output.

George Agustin really sizzled at the plate in today's game. The Imperial shortstop blistered the Cooperstown Legends for 5 hits in 7 at-bats.
G. Agustin doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off F. Kleist in the 6th, singled in the 8th, struck out in the 10th, hit a solo-shot off J. Domingues in the 12th and hit an RBI single in the 13th.

Satellite starter Reid Vegas really did a number on the Legends today, shutting them out on 3 hits in a route-going victory. He issued 1 walks and had 12 strikeouts. In his postgame comments, the Cooperstown manager said, "We didn't have good at bats. I don't like to make excuses, but basically when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show."
Vegas is a student of the game. He does his homework on all the hitters, and it seems to be paying dividends this season. The 30-year-old hurler has recorded a record of 23-3. In 36 starts, he has fanned 274 batters in 287 innings with a 2.76 ERA.
